From Col d’Orcia’s organic haven, immersed in the same terroir as the Brunello di Montalcino wine, comes the 2017 harvest of our organic olive oil. With a new 100ml format, ideal for travel.

The 2017 olive harvest has only recently ended and Col d’Orcia’s Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is ready for you to enjoy.

The olive varieties used in our Organic Olive Oil are:

Frantoio: Produces an olive oil which can vary in color from dark green to yellow, it has an intense aroma of dessert apples and cut grass, the taste is intense and fruity, as it is rich in polyphenols. This variety represents about 70% of our olive trees.

Leccino: Produces an olive oil with a more light coloration, it has a light fruity taste with grassy tones.

Moraiolo: Produces an olive oil with a very strong, intense flavour, with light bitter tones of artichoke.

Olivastra: This variety is the most resistant to the cold, it produces an olive oil with delicate aromas  with tones of cut grass.

Each olive variety is  separetly harvested by hand at the point of optimal ripeness.
